firstly apologies, it's been a while .... this is our first post of 2017 so happy new year people..... it was Christmas, then one of us was in new York (must remember to upload pics of shopping haul) .... then it was new year, then we were hungover for what seemed an eternity and then all of sudden holy moly its nearly February ....... where did January go? so here we are and we are back, a new year ..... you know what that means .... a new wardrobe! so, being as cold as it is, we are not quite ready to jump into summer clothes or even look at an off the shoulder top, but have been trawling the high street to see what good transitional pieces we can find for you. let's face it, we have been in winter clothes since September, that is almost 5 months in the same clothes, so we felt it was our duty to move away from full on winter dressing, and see what pre season goodies we could find.
next ......... not one of our usual haunts we must be honest. in fact, we probably used to only venture in there to look at bits for the kids (when they were younger) but .... just last week the catalogue was put through the door, and for research purposes, we had a little look and were pleasantly surprised! don't get us wrong, it wasn't all for us, but there were some key pieces, designer doubles that looked far more expensive than the price tag suggested.....
online, next offer brands too (French connection boohoo, coast, warehouse to name but a few), - not just own label - but for this little piece - we have concentrated on next's own efforts. there is lots of navy - a good pre spring colour, looks great with jeans, smart but as you will see with the pieces we have found - supercool too. mix with red and white - just check out that navy and white slogan shirt - we love and need ..... trousers are good too (jeans not bad, we tried on a couple of pairs but they don't beat zara in that department) however ...... look at the side stripe trousers - with a pair of stan smiths these are an absolute winner.
